Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I really be hypnotized?
Yes — if you can daydream, you can be hypnotized. Hypnosis is a natural state that everyone experiences daily — like the moments right before sleep or when you’re so absorbed in a book that you lose track of time. In session, I simply guide you into that same focused, relaxed awareness where your subconscious can communicate more clearly.

2. Will I lose control or do things I don’t want to?
Absolutely not. Hypnosis is cooperation between your conscious and subconscious minds. My role is to guide - not to impose.
As part of the strict code of ethics that I adhere to, your session will be recorded.

3. What if I fall asleep?
It’s rare to fall completely asleep, but even if you do drift off, your subconscious is still listening. Many clients describe the state as “half-awake, half-dreaming” — deeply peaceful but aware enough to respond. If I need to bring your attention back at any time, I’ll gently guide you there.

4. How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your goals. Some clients experience noticeable change after one session; others prefer several to reinforce and expand their results. We’ll talk about your intentions during your consultation and tailor the process to your pace.
My focus is always on helping you reach lasting transformation - not keeping you dependent on sessions.

5. What’s the difference between hypnotherapy and guided meditation?
Guided meditation relaxes the mind and helps you focus inward — which is beautiful in itself. Hypnotherapy goes a step deeper: it speaks directly to the subconscious mind, where habits, emotions, and beliefs are stored, by using specific hypnotic language patterns. It’s a conversation with the part of you that already knows the answers.

6. Is hypnotherapy spiritual or scientific?
Both — and neither exclusively. Hypnotherapy is an evidence-based practice used in psychology and medicine, but it also opens pathways to the intuitive and spiritual dimensions of self. It’s where science meets soul — where you can access both the wisdom of the mind and the light of your higher consciousness.

7. Do you take insurance?
Hypnotherapy sessions booked through this site are not covered by insurance. However, in my clinical psychotherapy practice, I sometimes use hypnotherapy as a complementary technique alongside other evidence-based modalities like CBT, and those sessions can be billed to insurance.
8. How should I prepare for my session?
You don’t need to prepare much — your mind already knows what to do. You may want to have an idea ahead of time about an issue or concern you would like to address, and let me know before our session what you would like to work on. Just make sure you’re in a quiet space, wear comfortable clothing, and give yourself a little time afterward to reflect or rest.

9. What if I’m skeptical but curious?
Perfect — curiosity is the best mindset for this work. You don’t have to “believe” in hypnotherapy for it to work; you just have to be willing to explore. Many of my most profound sessions have been with clients who started out skeptical — and left astonished by what they discovered within themselves.

10. Is this safe?
Completely. As a licensed psychotherapist and registered clinical hypnotherapist, I’m trained in both psychological safety and spiritual care. Your well-being always comes first, and the process unfolds at the pace your subconscious allows.
